| | Bach Stradivarius SN# 6032 Bronx, New York. Medium bore with a 37 bell and a 7 leadpipe.
This trumpet (ca. 1942) will appeal to serious players as well as to
collectors. It was overhauled and silver plated by Schilke (Anderson)
immediately after it was purchased from the 1st trumpet in the Milwaukee
Symphony in 1971, including a reconfiguration of the first slide to the more
efficient female-over-male design of later trumpets. The silver plating is
100% and there are no significant dents or dings. Compression is 100% and a
Reeves valve alignment was added in 2001. When Ren Schilke saw this horn he
thought this was the best Bach Bb trumpet that he had ever encountered. It's
a true "player's horn" with that wonderful old-style sound." Medium bore
(.452) You will not find a better playing New York Bach with as little use
and wear ANYWHERE. This horn is truly a one in a kind instrument!
