From BrassReview.com -- Jerry's Jazz Flugelhorn neither looks nor plays like any other flugelhorn. No sir, one look will tell you that Callet is at it again, making a better instrument. Look at the slides! At first glance they appear to be missing because they run parallel to the valves and wrap around the bell in a graceful curve which makes for much better air flow. This radically new design makes Jazz a pleasure to hold. The valve assembly is a straight flow thru design. Piston stroke is very short so you can really get around those fast runs. More important is the superb intonation which together with the evenness in every register sets new standards in flugelhorn design. The Bronze 6" bell produces a big dark sound with great center and focus. This was a limited production horn. It has been very well taken care of, and only has some normal wear and tear.
