Although in really good shape this horn has been overhauled at some point in it’s life.
I don’t know who did it but they did a great job.  It doesn’t show but a trained eye can tell.

Historical Context

This specific instrument was produced during a significant transition for the Vincent Bach Corporation. In 1961, the company was purchased by Selmer (USA), and in 1965, manufacturing was moved from Mount Vernon, NY, to Elkhart, Indiana. Because serial number 32050 falls early in the 30,000 range, it is an early “Elkhart” era horn.

This horn once belonged to famed “Chase” Band member Jerry Van Blair.

This instrument is with slight minor cosmetic wear but solid mechanical performance (good valve compression). Comes with a Gard Leather Gig Bag

The Bach 183 is the standard professional flugelhorn model for the brand, known for its warm, “signature Bach” sound.

Based on the serial number Bach Stradivarius ML 37 S/n 273262 trumpet was manufactured in 1984.
The Bach 37 ML is the flagship of the industry.  Being built in Elkhart Indiana the sound of this trumpet reflects the “Tone of Americana”
There are a few little pings, but certainly no major Dents, or trauma.  Valve Action and compression is excellent.
This horn comes with the original case and 7c Mouthpiece.

Standard of the industry 37 Bell and 25 Lead-pipe.  The silver finish is about 80% intact.  There is wear at the hand contact areas. (see pictures)

No dents, dings, or trauma.  It comes with the generic backpack style hard Case. This horn will be Sonically Cleaned and polished before sending out.

I wanted to get it on the site now.   There is tarnish and slight corrosion at some of the hand contact areas.  I think after the horn being sonically cleaned this will not be much of a issue,

NEW horn with the Bach Leather Case and Bach 3C MPC.

It’s truly a great player and I’ve considered keeping it for myself, but I just acquired an original Vindabona from the 70’s with a Gold Brass bell.

The vintage horn doesn’t play as well as this 19072 horn but with the Gold Brass Bell it is somewhat of a Unicorn.

Features

The 19072V is built on an MLV .459″ two-piece valve chassis with nickel balusters, nickel outer slides and brass valve guides. The standard weight, side-seam #72 bell with a round steel wire bell is heavier than normal for the 190 series. The additional weight provides the player with an even richer core to their sound and the freedom to push their instrument without fear of the sound getting crass. The large flared #72 bell is paired with the #44 leadpipe in lightweight nickel silver and our updated step bore design, Medium Large Vindabona (‘MLV’), that gradually grows from small bore to medium large bore. This creates a conical front end, similar to a cornet, that allows the player to achieve a cornet-like beauty to their sound when desired. Even though it may start conical, the heart of the instrument is still a cylindrical .459″ bore and responds with a brilliant and vibrant sound when pushed. The horn features a narrow width wrap and nickel Z braces, reminiscent of the NY era for ultimate responsiveness. The efficient #44 leadpipe in lightweight nickel silver provides the agility associated with a lightweight pipe while the nickel silver material keeps the sound focused and warm. This instrument is the ideal choice for someone looking for a big sound with minimal effort. Our artists find it to be well-suited for all genres but especially popular for soloing in front of a big band like Sean Jones or leading from the back of the band like Summer Camargo on SNL.

    The new 19072V is the long-awaited successor to the classic Bach Vindabona trumpet models. We worked with our top artists to improve on Bach’s original design concepts of a large bell flare with a step bore design to create something special. A revised #44 leadpipe in lightweight nickel silver and MLV bore size that grows from .448″ – .459″ balances the large #72 bell.
