Original Benge trumpet cases from the peak production era (roughly 1953–1970) were made in
Burbank, California. These cases housed instruments hand-crafted by Elden Benge and later his son, Donald, at their factory located at 1122 W. Burbank Blvd.

Key Details Regarding Original Benge Cases:
Era & Location: Cases from the “Burbank” era (1953–1970) are considered the original, high-quality cases produced alongside the instruments in California.
Design: These cases were typically wood-shell, often covered in brown or tweed-style material, featuring plush-lined interiors to protect the hand-crafted instruments.
Later Production: Following the move to Anaheim in 1973 and the eventual sale to King Musical Instruments, cases were produced in California and later Ohio, but the most coveted “original” cases are from the Burbank workshop.
