Continuing the legacy that brought brass into the Rock and Roll age, the Model 1001 is literally the sound you know from Earth, Wind and Fire and Tower of Power – an authentic descendant that maintains the same sound and passion that fueled a generation of trumpet players and horn lovers.
The famous .464″ MLP bore size gives this trumpet a free-blowing ease unlike any other horn. Supremely versatile, it is at its best in large, open venues where its unique sound can really soar.
This horn immaculate and has been blueprinted by Osmun Brass.
Custom, 3rd slide water key by installed Zig, at the time of purchase.
Comes with a very protective WolfPAc single l trumpet bag.
1st Owner had a second set of 1st & 3rd slides made with Byron Autrey’s Harmonic Balancers added
It’s something special. It’s The Wilmington Benge it has a #5 bell made of brass sheet stock .018″ gauge. The flair is 4-7/8″
These horns originally went for $3500, THIS PARTICULAR CUSTOM went for over $5K because of the customizing and gold-plated finish. The 24K gold-plating alone is worth $2500 today.
