Getzen / Edwards “C” Modular trumpet S/n E 0409

Still working on what exactly this horn is.  I believe it is a collaboration trumpet from Getzen And Edwards

it was an attempt by Getzen to capitalize on what they viewed as their most popular/marketable 2 bell options from the

Edwards line in an effort to have a pro quality C trumpet in the Getzen line.  It didn’t last long.  1st purchased in the late 1990s.

It has a modular Bell system in order to exchange bells.  The horn comes with a C1 and a C2 bell.

The larger bell was intended for orchestral playing with the smaller bell intended for solo and chamber music work.

 

Research on the Edwards site shows the bells are handcrafted, and one-piece.

The bore size of this trumpet is .462 (Large Bore). Valves and slides work flawlessly, and the compression is spot on.

The C2 bell has a slight ding in the bell throat.  Outside of that the horn is perfect.

It comes with the double trumpet style hard Case. This horn will be Sonically Cleaned and polished before sending out.

I wanted to get it on the site now.   There is tarnish and slight water stains at some of the contact areas.

I think after the horn being sonically cleaned and polished this will not be much of a issue,
