Description

The Getzen 700 Eterna (often noted as the 700S) is an intermediate to semi-professional level trumpet crafted in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. It was designed to offer professional features at a more accessible price point.

Given its serial number P08625, it falls within the initial 1980–1985 production block.

Key Features of the 700 Eterna II
  • Bore Size: .460″ (Medium-Large bore).
  • Construction: Features a gold brass leadpipe and hand-lapped gold brass slides to resist corrosion.
  • Bell: 4¾” two-piece yellow brass bell.
  • Finish: Most commonly found in bright silver plate.
  • Valves: Equipped with nickel-plated pistons, known for the “fast” action characteristic of Getzen instruments.
While this model has since been discontinued, it is highly regarded by players as a “step-up” horn that performs significantly better than standard student models.
