The Yamaha YTR-6445HS is a highly respected professional C trumpet from the pre-Xeno era. Many orchestral players still regard the 6445 series as one of Yamaha’s best C trumpets.

Yamaha YTR-6445HS Serial #001263 is from the era before Bob Malone officially joined Yamaha, but it comes from the period when Yamaha was developing the design concepts that eventually led to the famous Malone-inspired Artist Series C trumpets. The early 6445H/HS models are often considered the “bridge” between traditional Yamaha C trumpets and the later Chicago and New York Artist models.

The HS model features a heavyweight design, silver plate  and large bore (.462”).
