This horn is “LIKE NEW” with just a few swirls in the silver plate. No Dents, Dings, or Trauma. Valves are perfect with excellent “POP” compression. Slides are fast and smooth.
Based on Schilke manufacturing guidelines and serial number benchmarks, this Schilke S22C trumpet S/n 55783 was manufactured in approximately 2007-2008.
The S22C is a professional-grade C trumpet from Schilke’s “S Series.” It is widely regarded as a “large-bore” orchestral horn designed for a free-blowing feel and a rich, centered sound.
Bore Size: Large (.463″ or 11.75 mm).
Bell: ML (Medium-Large) #5 yellow brass bell, typically 5 inches (127 mm) in diameter.
Key Features: It features a reversed leadpipe design which contributes to its open feel and excellent “slotting” (the ease of hitting and staying on a note).
