This particular instrument is notable for its Bob Reeves Precision Valve Alignment (PVA), a high-end aftermarket optimization that ensures the internal valve ports align perfectly with the casing to .001 for improved response and airflow. The Bob Reeves PVA modification is a significant performance upgrade, as it removes any factory misalignments in the valve block, making the instrument feel more “even” across all registers

• Bore Size:  .461″ (11.75 mm), offering a centered and open feel.
• Bell: 124 mm (approx. 4.88″) yellow brass bell, often marked with the designation “703”.
• Design Modifications: Features oversized bottom valve caps and a shifted main tuning slide crook, which enhance the horn’s dynamic projection and openness in the upper register.
• Performance: Known for its flexibility and ease of blowing, it was famously used by jazz masters such as Eddie Henderson and Terrell Stafford.
